The Cutie Pies and OHS Racing Captains

The 8th Annual "Rick Hansen Wheels in Motion event held on Sunday, June 13th at the Fredericton Exhibition Grounds and was a huge success!

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s event! 10 teams participated, over 100 people attended and $11,000.00 was raised in support of the Canadian Paraplegic Association (N.B.) Inc. and the Elm City Wheelchair Sports Club!

MLA Rick Miles racing against City Councillor Stephen Kelly while Mayor Brad Woodside and the Steve Waylon Band belted out a rousing rendition of “The Race is On”. This was one of the highlights of the event. Wheels in Motion Ambassador, Chris Aalders passed on a few words from Rick Hansen and national sponsor representative Bev Bolton from Scotiabank welcomed everyone to the event. There were exhibits to visit, a yummy BBQ put on by the Y’s Men and free face painting and colouring for the kids. A great time was had by all.
