14th annual $1 Million Hole-in-one Shootout

Date: August 20 & 21, 2010

Location: Carman Creek Golf Course, Highway 105, Lower St. Mary’s (adjacent to the Ramada), Fredericton, N.B.

Event details: The 14th annual $1 Million Hole-In-One Shootout, presented by Jean Coutu and in support of the Canadian Paraplegic Association (N.B.) Inc., was held at the Carman Creek Golf Course in Fredericton on August 20 & 21, 2010.

The $1 Million Hole-In-One Shootout kicked off Friday, August 20th with the Corporate Day portion of the event beginning at 10:00am. Forty-three businesses each purchased a one hour Corporate Day tee box and their families, friends, co-workers, clients and guests were able to test their skill and luck for a chance to win $1,000,000. Corporate Day participants were treated to an enjoyable day of warm weather and good fun. Many golfers and golf enthusiasts of all skill levels also participated during the public tee times that were available on Friday and Saturday. All participants enjoyed a fun-filled weekend and with their support, CPA (N.B.) Inc. raised important funds that will enable us to continue to provide important services to New Brunswickers with spinal cord injuries and other mobility disabilities.

CPA (N.B.) Inc. would like to thank all participants, sponsors, volunteers and supporters who helped raise $14,800 at the 14th annual $1 Million Hole-in-one Shootout!

Grand Prize winner.

CPA (N.B.) Inc. Board Member George Woodworth (left) congratulates Marty Mockler on winning the 14th annual $1 Million Hole-in-one Shootout. Marty’s shot, measured at 25’4”, was closest to the hole and he was awarded the Grand Prize of airfare for two, compliments of Air Canada, to any scheduled destination in North America including Hawaii, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Highest Qualifer

CPA (N.B.) Inc. Project Coordinator John O’Toole (left) presents Tom Brooks with his prize package for qualifying the highest number of shots during the $1 Million Hole-in-one Shootout. Tom’s 19 qualifying shots assured him an automatic berth to the Final Top 10 for a chance to win $1,000,000.
