The Canadian Paraplegic Association (N.B.) Inc. was pleased to recently present Elaine Sussey, Social Worker, Disability Support Program, NB Department of Social Development with a Caring Community Partner Award. Elaine was nominated for her work within the Disability Support Program. Our clients who have worked with Elaine on the Disability Support Program application and process have remarked how caring and compassionate Elaine is in her work and how much her follow up, her client-centred approach and commitment to finding solutions and options was valued. Since the DSP is a relatively new program, our staff have often remarked how Elaine has taken time to explain policies and processes and provide timely support to staff when questions arise. Elaine works to ensure clients are directed to the right supports and services. Elaine has also referred several clients to our organization clients with mobility-related disabilities who needed some help and who may never have otherwise learned of our services. Elaine is a true caring community partner. Thank you, Elaine!

CPA (N.B.) Inc. was pleased to recognize Computers for Education Technology New Brunswick Ltd. as a Caring Community Partner in 2007-2008.
This unique program collects, repairs and refurbishes donated surplus computers from governments and businesses, and distributes them free to schools and individuals. This program has helped many clients of the CPA (N.B.) Inc. to obtain a computer, repair their computers, acquire new software, use new technology and develop new skills. Our Rehabilitation Counsellors speak highly of the commitment provided by Sandra Abbott and her team. This program provides our clients the tools they need to help enhance their quality of life and independence. Computers for Education Technology is a true Caring Community Partner.
